When you move to another country, whether for work or other reasons, there’s an initial phase to the relocation process where you might experience a feeling of displacement, which can manifest through various symptoms such as sadness and anxiety. This emotional state is known as “Ulysses Syndrome.”
In this initial phase, you have to manage countless things in a short period of time, such as finding accommodation, legal procedures in an unfamiliar place, joining your new job, and all of this can produce a level of stress from adapting to the environment, which the person experiences as a grieving process for the loss of their previous location. It is a feeling of uprooting and loss of belonging to a group.

This syndrome is obviously called “Ulysses Syndrome” because Ulysses, on his journey in the Odyssey, had to face many difficulties. And at one point during his journey, when Polyphemus was pursuing him, he said something like, “My name is Nobody, and everyone calls me Nobody.”
At BQgat Relocation, unlike Homer, we want to give you a NAME, and a name in capital letters, because we truly believe that people who start a new path, a new CHALLENGE, embark on a very exciting, rewarding, and enriching journey in every aspect.
At BQgat Relocation, we want to accompany and support you from the very beginning of your process, so that you never feel uprooted, but quite the opposite. We will help you turn this new beginning into a pleasant and fresh start.
We want to welcome you to your new home and accompany you to that second phase, in which you are already settled, accompanied and welcomed by your new environment.
